A new clustering method identifies multiple sclerosis-specific T-cell receptors
Ann Clin Transl Neurol. 2021 Jan;8(1):163-176.

TCR repertoire analysis performed on the peripheral blood of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) shows that the patient group is more diverse than the healthy group. Clustering analysis was also performed, and it was shown that TBV4-3 clusters are widely shared by patients with HLA-DRB1*04:05. Furthermore, it is predicted that the cluster group will recognize the CMV antigen.

Our TCR repertoire analysis was used in a bilateral study of age-related changes in immune cells using Human resident memory T cells present in the skin and peripheral blood. It has been announced that the immune diversity of human resident memory T cells present in the skin of old people was maintained.

Our TCR repertoire analysis was used in the study of cytomegalovirus infection in allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The authors extracted cytomegalovirus-positive cells from the peripheral blood of 16 post-transplant patients and then searched for common clones between patients in the analysis of cytomegalovirus-specific T cells. Through this study, the authors suggest that it is possible to clarify how immune cells respond to cytomegalovirus reactivation after transplantation.

Our TCR repertoire analysis was used in a study to explore the PDGFR+ gp38+ DPP4- thymic fibroblast subset required to induce T-cell tolerance. Mouse TCR repertoire analysis shows that the selection of some TCR clones can be avoided by deleting a specific LTβR.

A Novel Synthetic Dual Agonistic Liposomal TLR4/7 Adjuvant Promotes Broad Immune Responses in an Influenza Vaccine With Minimal Reactogenicity
Front Immunol. 2020 Jun 19;11:1207.

Fumi Sato-Kaneko
Our BCR repertoire analysis was used in the study of a novel liposome preparation (TLR4/7 dual agonist) developed by UCSD. BCR repertoire analysis showed that this product can induce various B cells in the lymph nodes and induce antibodies against a wide range of hemagglutinin (HA) epitopes of the influenza virus. Based on these results, the development of a vaccine with high safety and a wide range of protective capabilities is expected by using the TLR4/7 dual liposome adjuvant.
